Village of Caldwell Special Meeting Minutes for August 30, 2021

The Council for the Village of Caldwell met in special session on August 30, 2021 at 6:30 p.m., with the following members present: Rucker, Antill, Saling, Minosky, Welsh and Postlethwait.

The Special meeting called to discuss hiring a Village Administrator.

Motion by Antill seconded by Rucker to accept Ordinance 2021-10 authorizing the Village Administrator to reside outside the corporation limits. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Antill seconded by Welsh to waive the three reding rule on Ordinance 2021-10. All in favor, motion carried.

Mayor Wells recommended to Council to hire Darrell Crum for the position. Wells stated Crum has the drive, integrity and personality looking for. Wells also stated that she checked Crum’s references with great response.

Mayor Wells stated she would be keeping Chuk Shearn on for a transition period.

Motion by Minosky seconded by Postlethwait to hire Darrell Crum as Village Administrator. Minosky, yea, Postlethwait, yea, Welsh, yea, Rucker, yea, Saling, yea. Antill, abstain due to conflict of interest being currently employed by the same entity. Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn made by Antill seconded by Rucker. All in favor, motion carried.
