Board of Public Affairs Meeting Minutes, March, 2020

The Board of Public Affairs for the Village of Caldwell met in regular session on Monday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m. with the following members present:  Estadt, Frederickson, and Radcliff. 

Minutes for the previous meeting approved as written. 

A motion to pay the bills including monthly bills made by Frederickson seconded by Estadt. All in favor, motion carried.

John Keyser and Scott Wrangler from Thrasher reported on Area E, G and Interceptor with the following: Largest problem with Area E home owner downspouts. Area G issues near and around Olive Street and Cornstalk. Research is complete above project. 

Water Superintendent Jason Weber absent with Billy Joe reporting for him with the following:

VFD finished at pump station. Furnace in GAC building finished. New carbon installed in GAC.

Sewer Superintendent Jerod Ramage reported on the following: Septic smell on backside of Railroad Street, Florence septic issues, county needs to smoke test. Radcliff to meet with Commissioner Rossiter on these issues. Village residents downspouts still having issues. Follow up with solicitor. Ables hasn’t installed prison generator. Clerk to contact Ables. Pryor Excavating fixing issue behind Mahle Plant. Running press daily instead of nightly.

Micheles billing notes discussed. Motion by Frederickson seconded by Radcliff to refund $111.24 to Noble Learning Center. All in favor, motion carried.

Board discussed Circle Drive water rates determining that that should be out of town rates. 

Cory Archer is purchasing land on Ralph Road inquired about a water tap and water pressure to his land. Board President Radcliff explained that the Village would be unable to supply due to low pressure.

Motion to adjourn by Estadt seconded by Frederickson. All in favor, motion carried.
